Do you like shopping at the weekly market? For some, this is a fixed date to start the weekend, while for others, different weather conditions can sometimes be an obstacle. But usually you are in a better mood after a visit to the market. This is not only due to the aesthetic pleasure of seeing the vivid colours. Also, and above all, the human contact with the salespeople, who appreciate their products and know them very well, has a more invigorating effect than an anonymous queue in a supermarket and the subsequent checkout by a stressed cashier, who is - usually unintentionally - under pressure.
Although we have difficulty selling translations at the weekly market, we try to maintain personal contact with our customers and freelancers. Therefore, we decided before the Christmas holidays to send a postcard with our group picture (digital of course: without unnecessary paper consumption and additional road traffic!)
The feedback was very positive. Many were happy to finally get to know our faces. In today's world it is indeed not unusual to maintain contact with a customer or service provider for years without knowing their face.
Digitalization undoubtedly provides for more efficiency in everyday office life. We use this advantage consciously, but for us the sensible application of the technology does not contrast with a familiar communication. Therefore, we are available for telephone calls or visits from customers and collaborators. An "analogue" exchange brings considerable advantages, as more flexible arrangements can often be made and open questions can be clarified without complications.
We would like to show ourselves as people and we can do so because we personally follow every step of the process and are therefore well informed about the quality of the product. Thanks to intelligent management based on trust, the composition of our team remains constant over the long term: we are pleased that you know who you are talking to or writing to. This makes the working hours feel a little more like life time, and even if we are not at your weekly market, a translation job can be a pleasant experience.
